What is a Middle East Overland Tour?

Overlanding is for the true adventurous spirit. For the duration of your tour our famous blue 4WD vehicle will virtually become your home, as it takes you to the Great Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, or to watch the golden sunset in the spectacular White Desert and camp under desert stars. Relax with your fellow passengers in our fully equipped truck as our team take you on a wondrous journey of culture, cuisines, dramatic landscapes and a wealth of historical sights.

In the Middle East, overlanding on the Kumuka truck is combined with the use of boats, ferries, feluccas, trains and private transport. This gives you a wider scope of ways to see this spectacular part of Africa.

Accommodation on tour is a mixture of camping and hotels, ranging from small hotels and guesthouses to even a cave and tree house in Turkey. Camping is a mixture of fixed camps plus some free camping in areas such as the desert under a canopy of stars. We provide you with tents, which are designed for two people. Don’t worry if you’re travelling solo, you’ll share on a same gender basis.
