Kumuka Family Adventures
We believe travel is for everyone, and
who better to share the experiences and excitement of
a new adventure with than your own family? Most of the
adventure travel market, however, is geared towards the
independent or young traveller. Kumuka is different. We
are proud to offer our range of exciting, unique family
adventure tours that take the hassle and stress out of
organising such a trip on your own.
We’ve stepped away from the traditional
idea of ‘stay-put’, package holidays with kiddies clubs
and crèches that have a tendency to isolate children from
the local culture and people. Introducing your child to
different cuisines, cultures, languages and lifestyles
ignites their imagination, whilst providing an unrivalled
education and expanding their understanding of the world
we live in. With Kumuka, you and your family can
experience Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, North
America, South and Central America, the Middle East, Asia,
East and Southern Africa.
Members of our superb team,
with children of their own, have developed Kumuka’s family
adventure tour itineraries. They travelled with
them during the planning of each tour, providing invaluable
insight from a child’s perspective.
It’s the little things that make the
big difference. We use safe, comfortable hotels with swimming
pools, friendly staff and tour guides, excursions that
educate your child without boring them, avoid large crowds
and travel at a pace that won’t tire you all out! What’s
more, you will get the opportunity to travel with other
families, where new friendships will bloom for both parents
and children alike. Each group is limited to a maximum
of 16 passengers, enabling us to use less-crowded hotels,
visit remote areas, have more freedom and less impact
on the local environment.
Our family adventure tours facilitate
the management of travelling as a family and take into
account the different needs and views of each individual
family member. We understand that travelling
with children has to be clean, easy, safe and fun whilst
providing the right mix of culture, entertainment, comfort,
variation and relaxation.
Transport
If it’s not on the ancient feluccas
in Egypt, bicycle rickshaws in India, long tail boats
in Thailand, trekking on foot through jungles and mountain,
elephant rides or thrilling tuk tuk trips, then transport
will mainly be in private vehicles such as a minibus.
Where there is an opportunity to experience the local
way of life, that’s what we’ll do!
Accommodation
Where possible, we use locally
owned and operated hotels, guesthouses and lodges, with
many offering unique opportunities to experience the area.
From 3-4 star hotels, to beachfront bungalows, floating
jungle raft hotels and even the off night of camping,
all accommodation is chosen to best suit the entire family
and provide and interesting and comfortable experience.
We try to insure the hotels we use include a pool, or
have swimming facilities near by.
